Trish K. Murphy

Trish K. Murphy, founder of Northwest Workplace Law PLLC, has dedicated her career to impartial investigations, employment law, and labor relations since graduating from law school in 1996. Operating out of Seattle, Washington, Trish is renowned for her expertise in conducting independent investigations into workplace, higher education, and Title IX complaints. Her extensive experience covers over 300 cases, addressing issues such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, misconduct, ethics violations, and bullying. Trish is committed to delivering thorough, impartial findings that enable clients to make informed decisions, always treating all parties with dignity and respect.

As a certified Title IX investigator and an Association of Workplace Investigators Certificate Holder (AWI-CH), Trish is licensed to practice law in both Washington and Oregon. She has served as President of the Northwest Association of Title IX Administrators from 2021 to 2022. Her professional contributions include her role as a Contributing Editor for Bloomberg's labor law treatise, The Developing Labor Law, since 2015.

Trish earned her J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law, where she was an Editor of the Washington Law Review and received the 1996 Mary Ellen Krug Award for excellence in labor and employment law. Her leadership roles extend to serving as Chair of the King County Bar Association Labor and Employment Law Section and the Pacific Coast Labor and Employment Law Conference.
