Todd R. DeVallance brings over two decades of expertise in handling intricate family law cases. As one of the few divorce attorneys in Washington State with an LL.M. in Taxation, he provides specialized guidance on the tax consequences of divorce. His extensive experience includes managing divorces involving Restricted Stock Units and retirement benefits.

Todd has been featured on major media outlets such as The Today Show, Anderson Cooper, FoxNews’ Fox & Friends, and ABC News, offering expert legal analysis on national high-profile cases. He frequently speaks at legal education seminars, focusing on the tax aspects of divorce.

In his practice, Todd excels in negotiating resolutions and litigating disputes. His practice areas encompass high asset divorces, cases involving business owners, partners, and shareholders, division of tax-deferred accounts, and drafting prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. As a certified mediator, Todd has successfully facilitated amicable resolutions in mediation and is also available to arbitrate family law matters.

Todd's career began with over eight years of service in the U.S. Navy as an Intelligence Specialist and Imagery Analyst, where he was an Operation Desert Storm veteran and awarded the Joint Service Achievement Medal. During his military tenure, he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice Pre-Law (magna cum laude) from Chaminade University in Honolulu, Hawaii. After his honorable discharge, he obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Gonzaga University School of Law and completed his advanced LL.M. in Taxation at the University of Washington School of Law. Todd is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and U.S. Tax Court.
