Jessica Gill-Sekhon

Jessica Gill-Sekhon has devoted her entire legal career to criminal defense. Her journey began in law school, where she actively participated in the Civil Rights and Transparency Clinic. There, she contributed to significant litigation efforts, such as a case against the Department of Defense involving privacy violations impacting veterans. She also gained valuable experience in immigration law, assisting clients in obtaining legal status in the United States. Her commitment to justice was further solidified through her work with the Innocence and Justice Project, Prisoners’ Legal Services, and Prisoners’ Legal Services of New York, focusing on the rights of the incarcerated and wrongfully convicted.

After earning her degree, Jessica started her professional career at Mountain Law in Mount Vernon. In this role, she provided public defense services to individuals accused of crimes in Mount Vernon and Burlington. It was here that her passion for criminal defense truly flourished as she represented clients facing a variety of charges, ensuring their constitutional rights were upheld.

Jessica later advanced her career at the Skagit County Public Defender’s Office, where she spent several years managing adult misdemeanor cases and assisting with high-level felony defenses. Her dedication and courtroom expertise led to her recruitment by Victory Legal in 2023, where she continued to offer client-focused and determined representation.

In 2025, Jessica joined Powers Law Group PLLC, where she currently represents clients charged with offenses such as DUI, assault, sexual assault, and child molestation. She remains committed to advocating for her clients in the courtroom, striving to protect their rights and deliver the most robust defense possible.
