Donna E. Lurie

Donna E. Lurie is a seasoned professional dedicated to serving as a neutral party in arbitration, mediation, and fact-finding. Operating from Bothell, Washington, she has transitioned from advocacy roles to focus exclusively on resolving disputes between labor organizations, employers, and attorneys. Her expertise lies in contract interpretation, discipline, and negotiation matters.

Throughout her career, Donna has specialized in labor, employment, and discrimination law. Her clients commend her for delivering clear, fair, and cost-effective resolutions that facilitate closure and progress in workplace relationships and operations. She has adjudicated over 150 arbitration cases across both public and private sectors and has mediated more than 100 workplace disputes.

In her extensive career, Donna has led contract negotiations, fact-finding missions, and co-chaired numerous labor-management committees. Since 2012, she has served as a Hearing Officer, Arbitrator, Mediator, Factfinder, and organizational development consultant. Her contributions include developing job classification systems, evaluation protocols, and employee handbooks for various public agencies, school districts, and nonprofit organizations. Recently, she was elected to the College of Labor & Employment Lawyers.

Donna is actively involved in professional organizations. She is the former Chair of the King County Bar Dispute Resolution Section and currently serves as Vice-Chair of the WA State Bar Dispute Resolution Section. She participates in the King County Personnel Board, NW Arbitrators Salon, and the Planning Committee for the Pacific Coast Labor & Employment Conference. A frequent speaker at Bar Association, LERA, and ADR conferences, Donna also founded a Multicultural Steering Committee aimed at reducing cultural and linguistic barriers to mental health resources.

Her community involvement extends to her past presidency of the East King County affiliate of NAMI - NAMI Eastside. She continues to provide workshops focused on self-care, building resilience, and citizen advocacy.
