Trish K. Murphy

Trish K. Murphy, the founder of Northwest Workplace Law PLLC, is a prominent attorney based in Seattle, Washington. Since earning her J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law in 1996, she has dedicated her legal career to impartial investigations, employment law, and labor relations.

Trish focuses primarily on conducting independent investigations into workplace, higher education, and Title IX complaints. Her expertise covers a wide range of issues, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, general misconduct, ethics violations, and bullying. With over 300 cases handled across various industries and organizational levels, clients trust her to deliver thorough and unbiased findings.

As a licensed attorney in Washington and Oregon, Trish holds certifications as an Association of Workplace Investigators Certificate Holder (AWI-CH) and a Title IX investigator. She served as President of the Northwest Association of Title IX Administrators from 2021 to 2022.

In addition to her legal practice, Trish contributes as an editor for Bloomberg’s labor law treatise, "The Developing Labor Law," since 2015. Her leadership roles include Chair of the King County Bar Association Labor and Employment Law Section and Chair of the Pacific Coast Labor and Employment Law Conference.
