Joel Phillip Nichols

Joel Phillip Nichols serves as a partner at the Deno Millikan Law Firm, PLLC, focusing on employment law, personal injury, family law, and criminal defense. He provides legal guidance to small businesses on various transactional and employment-related issues. Joel was born in Massachusetts but grew up in Shoreline, Washington, raised by his mother after his father was killed in action in Vietnam in 1970. His path to law began during his freshman year of college when he successfully advocated for survivor benefits from the Social Security Administration as a dependent of a deceased veteran.

Outside of his legal practice, Joel enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. A passionate music enthusiast, his interests range from Johnny Cash to Frank Zappa. An experienced drummer and percussionist, Joel has played in symphonic, rock, and jazz bands since age ten. He relishes attending live music events whenever possible.

Joel is also an avid outdoorsman, having explored hundreds of miles in the Cascades and Rocky Mountains. He enjoys fishing in the Northwest's lakes and rivers, as well as golfing, swimming, and biking. Watching his daughter participate in plays, music, and softball is another source of joy for him.
