About Kelsey Dyann Morfitt
Kelsey Dyann Morfitt established Morfitt Family Law to provide dedicated legal assistance to clients in Pierce, King, and Thurston Counties. As a Washington native and former United States Air Force attorney, Kelsey brings a wealth of expertise in family law, litigation, and legal advocacy.
Kelsey graduated magna cum laude from Pacific Lutheran University and earned her cum laude law degree from Gonzaga University School of Law, where she contributed to the Gonzaga Law Review. Her professional journey includes roles at the Spokane County Prosecutor’s Office, the Washington State Attorney General’s Office, the Washington State Senate, the U.S. District Court for Eastern Washington, and six years at a private family law firm. Additionally, she has drafted legislation and provided policy advice in Washington and Hawaii.
Ms. Morfitt has completed Settlement Conference Training, certifying her to settle cases pretrial for the court, and the 40-hour Basic Mediation Training through the Pierce County Center for Dialog & Resolution. She is particularly proud of her role in uniting diverse groups to achieve legislative success. Governor Jay Inslee remarked on the unlikely collaboration at the 2017 bill-signing, where Kelsey played a pivotal role in negotiating shellfish legislation that balanced the interests of native tribes, business owners, government regulators, shellfish farmers, the media, recreational fishers, environmental groups, and bipartisan senators.
At Morfitt Family Law, Kelsey is committed to providing clear, practical legal solutions for clients navigating divorce, custody, and other family law matters.
