About Troy Hunter

Troy Hunter began his legal career collaborating with esteemed plaintiffs’ personal injury attorney Tom Chambers, who later became a Washington State Supreme Court Justice. Following this, Troy dedicated 16 years to insurance defense litigation, primarily as a partner at the distinguished firm, Floyd, Pflueger & Ringer. In this role, he defended insurance companies and corporate clients against claims involving personal injury, wrongful death, fire loss, and construction defects.

Since departing from FP&R, Troy has leveraged his defense experience to advocate for personal injury clients against the insurance companies he once represented. His legal acumen extends to arguing cases at all judicial levels in Washington, including the State Supreme Court. Troy also serves as a dispute mediator, applying innovative settlement and resolution techniques to benefit his clients.

At the University of Washington Law School, Troy earned Moot Court honors, received an International Award for Excellence in Mediation, and was distinguished by the National Order of the Barristers for his trial advocacy skills. He resides in Bellevue with his wife, Kathleen, and their dogs, Tsavo, Abby, and Sasha. Troy is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Washington.
