Kari Petrasek

Kari Petrasek is a solo attorney located in Mukilteo, Washington, with extensive experience in juvenile law, focusing primarily on dependency and termination cases. She has been a passionate advocate for children, dedicating over 13 years as a Guardian ad Litem for dependent children. Her commitment to the legal profession is further demonstrated through her service as a judge and commissioner pro tempore at Snohomish County Superior Court since 2010, where she presides over family law, guardianship/probate, ex parte, domestic violence, interpreter, juvenile, and mental health hearings.

In addition to her juvenile law practice, Kari is a seasoned litigator in guardianship, elder law, estate planning, and family law. Her leadership roles include being the Past-Chair of the WSBA Solo & Small Practice Section and Past-President of the Snohomish County Bar Association. She is also the treasurer of Washington Women Lawyers and actively participates in the ABA Solo Small Firm & General Practice Division. Kari represents Washington as a delegate to the ABA House of Delegates and has served as a past ABA at-large delegate. She is a member of the Washington State CASA.

Kari is licensed to practice in the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington and the U.S. Supreme Court. Outside her legal practice, she coaches the Archbishop Murphy High School Mock Trial teams and contributes to various boards and committees within her community. In her leisure time, Kari enjoys skiing, golfing, football, and baseball.
