Lorraine Ely-Morrison

Having spent most of her life in Olympia, Lorraine Ely-Morrison has deep roots in the community, with brief periods spent in San Francisco and Germany. After her children completed high school, she pursued her long-held ambition to practice Family Law. Lorraine earned a B.A. in Psychology and furthered her education with a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology.

Her practical experience includes an internship at Community Mental Health, now Behavioral Health Resources, where she provided diagnosis and counseling for children, couples, and families beyond the required duration for her degree. Shortly after completing this internship, Lorraine began her legal education at the University of Washington.

Lorraine successfully completed law school and passed the bar exam in under three years. She established her Family Law practice six months later, handling cases such as dissolutions of marriage, child custody, termination of parental rights, and paternity issues. Additionally, she served as a Guardian ad Litem, advocating for the best interests of children, incapacitated adults, and under-aged parents in similar cases.

Since 2013, Lorraine has been on a hiatus due to personal and family health challenges, including the passing of her husband and undergoing multiple spinal reconstruction surgeries. She is currently on leave until she regains the physical capacity to meet the demands of her practice.
