David Hinkle

David J. Hinkle is a seasoned attorney specializing in bankruptcy law, committed to helping clients in West Virginia achieve financial stability. Since founding Hinkle Law in 2008, David has been pivotal in aiding numerous individuals in Martinsburg and the Eastern Panhandle during challenging economic times. His practice is rooted in providing compassionate and accessible legal services, ensuring a seamless experience for those hesitant to seek legal counsel.

David's legal journey began in 2005 when he returned to West Virginia to join Crawford and Keller, PLLC. There, he honed his skills in residential real estate transactions and ascended to the role of partner. Before this, he managed a bankruptcy practice in Pittsburgh, PA, with branches in Morgantown and Clarksburg, WV.

A native of Bridgeport, WV, David is a proud alumnus of Bridgeport High School. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from West Virginia University in 1999 and completed his law degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2002. His legal career launched immediately thereafter, alongside his partner in life and law, Sarah.

Outside his professional endeavors, David is deeply invested in his community. He is an avid supporter of Mountaineer sports, dedicates time to teaching Sunday school, serves on the board of directors for Main Street Martinsburg, and coaches youth sports. He holds bar admissions in both West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
