Kirk H. Bottner was born and raised in Ridgewood, New Jersey. After graduating from Ridgewood High School, he relocated to West Virginia in 1988 to attend West Virginia University. Kirk graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He then took a year to travel extensively, visiting 49 states before returning to pursue his legal education.
Kirk attended the West Virginia University School of Law from 1993 to 1996, earning his Juris Doctorate in 1996. He began his legal career in Weston, West Virginia, where he practiced for three years.
In 1999, Kirk and his family moved to the eastern panhandle of West Virginia. By 2001, he established The Law Office of Kirk H. Bottner, PLLC in Charles Town, West Virginia, where he continues to serve the community with dedication.
