About Larry Lawton
Larry Lawton began his legal career as a Law Clerk for the District Attorney of Los Angeles from 1970 to 1971. He then advanced to the role of Deputy District Attorney in Los Angeles, serving from 1971 until 1973. Following his time in Los Angeles, he transitioned to civil litigation, practicing in Cheyenne, Wyoming from 1973 to 1987 and later in the San Francisco Bay area from 1987 to 1990.
In 1990, Larry took on the position of Civilian Superfund Attorney for the Air Force Regional Counsel in San Francisco, where he remained until 2005. After retiring, he engaged in limited private practice and volunteer service until 2011.
Larry's career then took him internationally as the Associate Area Legal Counsel for the Asia Area of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 2011 to 2012. Returning to a limited private practice from 2012 to 2020, he eventually assumed his current role as a part-time Municipal Court Judge in 2020. Currently, he is not engaged in private practice.
