John A. Coppede

Beginning his legal journey as a law clerk for the Honorable Alan B. Johnson at the United States District Court for the District of Wyoming, John A. Coppede has developed a robust practice in Cheyenne.

As a partner at Hickey & Evans, Mr. Coppede engages in a diverse trial practice, representing both businesses and individuals. His expertise spans several areas including commercial litigation, contract actions, personal injury, business torts, environmental litigation, employment law disputes, civil rights issues, and insurance coverage disputes.

Mr. Coppede is adept at handling workers’ compensation cases for both employers and employees before the Office of Administrative Hearings. He is also proficient in representing secured and unsecured creditors in Chapter 7, 11, 12, and 13 bankruptcy matters, as well as in judicial and nonjudicial foreclosure processes, loan modifications, forbearance agreements, replevin actions, and garnishment proceedings.

Practicing in all state and federal courts in Wyoming and Colorado, as well as before various state agencies like the Wyoming Environmental Quality Council, the Wyoming Board of Equalization, and the Wyoming Office of Administrative Hearings, Mr. Coppede represents both plaintiffs and defendants in his trial practice.
