Mark Yocum

Mark Yocum, a seasoned criminal defense attorney in Cheyenne, Wyoming, combines his extensive law enforcement background with a passion for protecting individual rights. Born in Casper and closely connected to Cheyenne, Mark's upbringing included a love for Wyoming's hunting and fishing traditions. He graduated from Natrona County High School in 1996 and earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the University of Wyoming at Casper College in 2001.

Mark began his career as a Wyoming Peace Officer with the Wheatland Police Department in 2000. He later served as a Deputy Sheriff in Sheridan for two years before completing his 20-year law enforcement career in Cheyenne. By 2020, Mark had decided to pursue law, believing he could better serve the community and uphold constitutional rights.

In 2023, Mark graduated with a Juris Doctorate with Honor from the University of Wyoming, College of Law. During his time in law school, he gained valuable experience working in the Defender Aid Clinic and completing an externship with Chief Justice Fox of the Wyoming Supreme Court.

Mark married Rachel in 2003, and together they have four daughters. He enjoys teaching them elk hunting and cherishes family camping trips. Mark also actively participates in his daughters' activities, such as softball, marching band, basketball, and music recitals.
