About Paul J. Hickey
Paul J. Hickey began his distinguished legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable James E. Barrett at the United States Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit. Transitioning from his clerkship, Paul took on the role of prosecutor at the Laramie County Attorney’s Office, where he honed his skills in Energy Law.
Paul's expertise in this field has earned him recognition as a Mountain States Super Lawyer and a Best Lawyer. He represents a diverse clientele, including regulated gas and electric utilities, natural gas producers, wind developers, and interstate electric transmission projects.
In addition to his energy law focus, Paul maintains a substantial trial practice, primarily in Federal Court, handling cases such as refinery explosions and various commercial litigations. He holds a Tier One ranking in Commercial Litigation by Chambers USA.
