Her career progressed as she worked as a paralegal for a family law attorney in Arizona and briefly for a civil litigator before attending law school. During her studies, Amber completed an externship with the Maricopa County Legal Defender’s Office in the capital crimes unit and also interned with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, gaining experience in prosecuting criminal cases.

Amber relocated from Salt Lake City to Mesa, Arizona, in 2001 and enjoys raising her family in the East Valley. She actively participates in her community as a board member of the Phoenix Regional Homeless Court Committee and volunteers with Banner Health's Hospice. Her interests include running, hiking, gourmet cooking, attending volleyball and soccer games, and exploring fashion.
