Latika M. Malkani

Latika M. Malkani joined Siegel LeWitter Malkani in 1996, where she has been a staunch advocate for employees' rights. Her legal practice is centered on achieving justice and better workplace conditions for both women and men. She has successfully assisted numerous employees in negotiating severance and post-separation packages, and in obtaining fair compensation through the enforcement of state and federal laws. Latika stands firm in her belief that no employee should endure inequality or humiliation in their pursuit of a livelihood.

Raised in Sacramento, California, Latika earned her B.A. from UC Berkeley and later graduated from UOP McGeorge School of Law, where she excelled in oral advocacy. Her early career included significant work with Asian Immigrant Women Advocates, an Oakland-based nonprofit, where she organized efforts for workplace and community improvements alongside immigrant women workers.

Latika's extensive experience includes collaborations with several social justice law firms throughout California, such as Public Advocates in San Francisco, the Litigation Aid Society of Alameda County, Community Legal Services in Sacramento, and the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles. Outside of her professional commitments, she enjoys exploring the Bay Area with her children.
