Derek Pakiz

Derek Pakiz serves as the head of the litigation department at The Reeves Law Group, where he oversees the firm's attorneys. With a career spanning decades, Derek offers unparalleled expertise in personal injury law. He has successfully resolved thousands of cases through mediation, arbitration, litigation, and numerous trials. His practice encompasses a wide array of personal injury cases, including serious car accidents, slip and fall incidents, and specializes in catastrophic injuries such as traumatic brain injury, paralysis, amputation, and wrongful death.

Derek's extensive knowledge and skill have led to numerous favorable verdicts and multiple multimillion-dollar outcomes. His stature in the field is recognized by several prestigious accolades. Notably, Derek is one of only three lawyers in the U.S. to hold both the Diplomate Accreditation and Trial Advocacy Certification from the California State Bar. He has also received the Diplomate Accreditation from the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, a distinction held by only about 100 personal injury lawyers nationwide.

Derek earned his bachelor's degree from UCLA in 1984 and his law degree from Loyola Law School in 1987. He is a member of the American Trial Lawyers of America and the Melvin M. Belli Society, and holds a certification as a Specialist in Civil Trial Advocacy from The National Board of Legal Specialty Certification.
