Elizabeth Yang

Elizabeth Yang (楊安立) is the CEO and Founder of Yang Law Offices, based in Hollywood, California. Practicing since 2007, she specializes in Family Law, including divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, asset division, prenups, and postnups. Her expertise extends to Intellectual Property Law, covering patent, copyright, and trademark prosecution and litigation. Additionally, she handles Business Law matters, including corporate entity formation, contract drafting, disputes, and litigation. Elizabeth is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.

Elizabeth's academic background is impressive, having earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley at the age of 19. She was admitted to the United States Patent & Trademark Office in 2007. Her legal career in intellectual property was informed by her engineering experience at Raytheon on the B2 Bomber radar system and NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab on the Mars Exploration Rover.

Her personal journey through a complex divorce from 2010 to 2014 has provided her with deep insights into California family law, including child custody, support issues, and alimony. This personal experience allows her to empathize with clients undergoing emotional divorces. Elizabeth has represented clients at various stages of mediation, litigation, and trial with efficiency and compassion.

In 2015, Elizabeth earned her mediation certification from the Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA). She has since helped many litigants resolve their disputes through mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), encouraging clients to pursue counseling and relationship courses when possible.
