Katie Sass

Katie Sass is an accomplished associate at Kemnitzer, Barron & Krieg, LLP, where she focuses on consumer financing, unfair debt collection practices, and solar panel fraud issues. Her legal journey began after earning her undergraduate degree with honors from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2013 and her law degree from Harvard Law School in 2018.

Prior to her current position, Katie was a Senior Lawyer in the Consumer Interests Unit at Bay Area Legal Aid, where she honed her skills in consumer protection. Her experience also includes serving as a Litigation Legal professional at the Eviction Defense Collaborative in San Francisco. Additionally, she worked as an associate legal counsel at Crowell & Moring, focusing on antitrust and commercial litigation.

While at Harvard, Katie contributed as an Article Editor for the Harvard Journal of Law and Gender and led as the Student Director for the Access to Justice Lab’s Financial Distress Research Project. Her practical legal experience was further enriched through internships with the Federal Trade Commission, Project on Predatory Student Lending, California Counsel General Consumer Law Section, and the Los Angeles City Lawyer.
