Neil Bhartia

Neil Bhartia is a highly regarded attorney with expertise in bankruptcy and personal injury law. He earned his Juris Doctor from Chapman University School of Law, where he was actively involved as President of the International Law Society, Editor for the Law Journal, Academic Fellow, and Student Ambassador.

Before joining Syndicate Legal, Neil worked in the legal department of the Screen Actors Guild, handling arbitration between studios and the Guild. He also served at the Public Law Center focusing on consumer fraud and held the position of Senior Attorney at Macey & Aleman, the nation's largest consumer bankruptcy firm, in their Glendale office. Neil was a partner at Shatford Law and remains of counsel there.

Neil holds a Bachelor of International Business from Carleton University, specializing in International Management and Spanish, and an MBA with a triple-major in finance, real property development, and strategy from York University. His international work and study span the United States, Canada, Costa Rica, Brazil, and Mexico. Neil has industry experience in military, high-tech, and education sectors, and is fluent in French and Spanish.

Currently, Neil leads the bankruptcy practice area. He is admitted to the State Bar of California, the US Federal Court, and the Central and Southern Districts of California. As a member of the LA County Bar Association, he volunteers with Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles, teaching Chapter 7 Bankruptcy to self-preparers. In 2013, Neil was honored with the William J Lasarow Award for Outstanding Pro Bono Service.
