Robert Aaron Perkins

Robert Aaron Perkins, widely recognized as The Immigration Professor, has an extensive background in immigration law. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Beloit College in 1986 and received his J.D., also Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1989. He began his legal career at the esteemed international firm Denton's, then known as Sonnenschein Nath and Rosenthal. In 1994, he established his own law firm, dedicated exclusively to immigration law, covering visas, green cards, U.S. citizenship, and related areas.

Mr. Perkins has successfully represented numerous clients in deportation defense cases, including asylum, cancellation of removal, and criminal waivers. His expertise extends to business immigration matters, having worked with various tech and other companies on H-1B, H-2B, E-2, R-1, O-1, PERM, and EB-1 visas.

In addition to business immigration, Mr. Perkins has handled many family-based petitions, U visas, and VAWA petitions. He is particularly passionate about litigating against USCIS and ICE nationwide, addressing issues such as unlawful detention, abuse, and civil rights violations.
