Dane Eric Torbenson

Dane Eric Torbenson, a native of Denver, Colorado, grew up in the Park Hill neighborhood. He attended Denver East High School before earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Theatre from the University of Colorado, Boulder. After exploring various careers including acting, waitering, stunt work, private investigation, and paralegal work, Dane pursued his passion for law at the University of Denver College of Law, obtaining his J.D. in 1998.

Dane began his legal career in criminal defense at the firm of Newell and Martens, where he eventually became a partner, leading to the formation of Newell and Torbenson. In 2003, he expanded his practice by joining a firm with his law school classmate, Randy Corporon, focusing on general litigation with an emphasis on family and criminal defense law.

In 2012, the Law Offices of Randy B. Corporon, P.C. merged with The Law Center P.C., allowing Dane to continue specializing in areas such as sexual assault litigation, bonding law, contempt charges, dependency and neglect, and complex family law matters.

Beyond his legal work, Dane has been active in the Denver theater scene as an actor and fight choreographer for over two decades. He is also a devoted father to two daughters adopted from China in 2005 and 2007, residing with his family in Parker, Colorado.
