About Eric Posmantier
Eric Posmantier began his legal career in 1997 as a research clerk at the Department of Legal Research for the Judicial Branch, Superior Court of Connecticut. In 1998, he joined the Greenwich firm Fogarty Cohen Selby & Nemiroff LLC (FCSN) as an associate. By 2007, he had become a partner, focusing on high net worth asset division, support awards, and complex child custody disputes.
Mr. Posmantier has successfully argued numerous cases before the Appellate Court of Connecticut and has twice appeared before the Connecticut Supreme Court. He has also served as a special master for the Connecticut Superior Court, assisting in the resolution of high-conflict child custody disputes at the Regional Family Trial Docket in Middletown. Currently, he helps resolve financial disputes in the Judicial District of Stamford-Norwalk.
A graduate of the State University of New York at Albany and Rutgers University School of Law at Camden, where he contributed to the Rutgers Law Journal, Mr. Posmantier was recognized as a “Rising Star” in the New England Super Lawyers publication from 2009 to 2011.
