Kevin Grady Humphries

Attorney Kevin Humphries launched his legal career after graduating from Stetson University College of Law, serving as a felony prosecutor for the state attorney’s office in the 10th Judicial Circuit. Throughout his career, he has built a diverse portfolio, handling cases in both county and circuit courts across Dade, Hardee, Hillsborough, Highlands, Osceola, Pinellas, and Polk counties. Additionally, he has represented clients in federal cases at the United States Middle District Court for Florida in Tampa.

Since 2009, Mr. Humphries has been a partner at Lopez & Humphries, P.A., a firm he co-founded with Melodie López, a fellow accomplished personal injury attorney. Over the past fifteen years, he has sharpened his trial skills, participating in over 70 jury trials covering areas such as commercial truck accidents, motor vehicle collisions, money laundering, and capital murder.

Attorney Humphries is actively engaged in the legal community, having served as president of the Lakeland Bar Association and the Polk County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. He has also chaired the Grievance Committee for the 10th Judicial Circuit and served as a Teen Court judge.

In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Humphries has contributed to legal education as an adjunct professor at his alma mater, Stetson University College of Law. During his time at Stetson, he clerked for Chief Judge Demers of the 6th Judicial Circuit, assisting in the preparation of a DUI manual, where he is acknowledged annually.
