Nora Leto

Nora Leto, a distinguished civil trial attorney in Lakeland, Florida, brings over 31 years of legal expertise, including 17 years dedicated to Social Security disability and workers’ compensation claims. Her career began at the Florida State Hospital Office of Patient Legal Services as a Staff Attorney, followed by her role as a Farm Worker Advocate with Florida Rural Legal Services. Fluent in Spanish, Ms. Leto provides accessible legal services to a diverse clientele.

Ms. Leto earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Florida State University in 1978, followed by her Juris Doctor from the same institution in 1981. She gained admission to the Florida Bar in 1982 and has been a dedicated member since. Her leadership includes serving as the former Chair of the Florida Bar’s Agricultural Law Committee.

Admitted to practice in the United States Tax Court, Ms. Leto is also a member of the bar of the United States Supreme Court. She is authorized to practice before the United States District Court for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida and the United States Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Additionally, she is affiliated with the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR).

Ms. Leto actively participates in the Polk County Trial Lawyers Association, Lakeland Bar Association, and Catholic Charities of Central Florida. Residing in Polk County with her husband, she is a proud mother of three adult children. An alumna of Plant High School in Tampa, Ms. Leto remains engaged with the Tampa community.
