E. Logan Butler

E. Logan Butler, a founding partner at Patterson Moore Butler, LLC, concentrates his practice on criminal defense, employment law, and local government legal matters. His expertise extends to defending major felonies, drug crimes, DUI, sex crimes, domestic violence, juvenile offenses, and other misdemeanor and felony charges.

Previously, Mr. Butler served as an Assistant District Attorney in both the Piedmont Judicial Circuit (Barrow, Jackson, and Banks counties) and the Bell-Forsyth Judicial Circuit (Forsyth County). In these roles, he gained significant experience in preparing and trying felony, misdemeanor, and juvenile cases.

Mr. Butler obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Mars Hill College in 1996. Before embarking on his legal career, he worked as a biologist, assisting industry, landowners, and developers with state and federal regulatory compliance. This experience led him to pursue a law degree at Georgia State University’s College of Law, where he graduated cum laude. During law school, he was actively involved in Moot Court, serving as Vice President of Appellate Advocacy.
