George Ripplinger

George Ripplinger is a seasoned attorney with nearly 45 years of experience in representing plaintiffs in serious personal injury, wrongful death, and negligence cases against professionals such as doctors and lawyers. He earned both his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. George served on the College of Law's Board of Visitors from 1979 to 1986, acting as President from 1983 to 1984.

In 2007, he received the University of Illinois, College of Law, Distinguished Alumnus Award. His other accolades include the Fellows of the Illinois Bar Foundation Award for Distinguished Service to Law and Society, membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, and recognition as a Senior Counsel by the American College of Barristers. George is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, an exclusive society limited to 0.5% of American lawyers, and has been named a Super Lawyer in personal injury and professional medical errors (Plaintiff), placing him in the top 5% of his field. He is also recognized by America's Leading Lawyers, Law & Leading Attorneys, and The National Trial Lawyers, where he was selected as one of the top 100 trial lawyers in Illinois. His Martindale-Hubbell ratings are AV in both Illinois and Missouri.

George is actively involved in various bar associations at the local, state, and national levels. He has been a member of the Board of Governors of the Illinois State Bar Association and served in the House of Delegates of the American Bar Association. He also chaired the ABA's Solo & Small Law Firm Division, which includes over 29,000 lawyers nationwide.

An experienced lecturer, George has spoken on civil trial practice, legal malpractice, and ethics for organizations such as the American Bar Association, National Business Institute, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, Illinois State Bar Association, Missouri Bar Association, and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis. His publications include "Trial Advocacy in Illinois."
