Evan Bruno

Evan Bruno is a Partner at Bruno Law Offices, LLC, a family-owned law firm dedicated to defending clients accused of both misdemeanor and felony crimes in state and federal courts throughout Central Illinois. Since 2016, Evan has held the position of President of the Champaign County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.

In addition to his leadership role, Evan is an active member of the Champaign County Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association. Within the Illinois State Bar, he contributes to the Human Rights Section Council and the Bench and Bar Section Council.

Before joining his family at Bruno Law Offices, Evan gained valuable experience as a judicial law clerk for Justice Robert J. Steigmann of the Illinois Fourth District Appellate Court. His academic contributions include teaching Negotiations at the University of Illinois College of Law and Criminal Law at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Illinois.

Evan is a prolific writer, having published articles and commentaries in respected outlets such as the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin, Bench and Bar, and the Public Servant. He earned his law degree from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2012, where he achieved recognition as the First Place Individual Champion of the Sherman Minton Oral Advocacy Competition and served as Executive Problem Editor of the Moot Court Board.
