Larry A. Apfelbaum

Larry A. Apfelbaum has been a dedicated advocate for personal injury and workers' compensation clients throughout central Illinois since opening the Bloomington office of Kanoski Bresney in 1995. His legal career began in 1989 at the firm's Springfield location. Over the years, Larry has represented thousands of clients, ensuring they receive the compensation they deserve.

Born in Freeport, Illinois, and raised in the Chicago area, Larry pursued his education at Illinois State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in business administration and accounting in 1983. He then achieved his Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1987. His initial legal experience was with a general practice law firm in Bloomington, where he honed his skills before joining Kanoski Bresney to focus on personal injury and workers' compensation law.

Larry is committed to simplifying complex legal processes for his clients and challenging insurance companies that exploit these complexities. He has dedicated his career to leveling the playing field for injured individuals.

Beyond his professional life, Larry has been married to his wife, Karen, since 1988. Together, they share a home with three rescue pugs and five rescue cats, reflecting their passion for animal welfare. Larry and Karen actively support local non-profit organizations through volunteer work.

Larry's community involvement includes serving as President of the board of directors for Wish Bone Canine Rescue in Bloomington. He is a past board member of the Animal Protective League in Springfield and the American Red Cross of McLean County. Larry also volunteers with Prairie State Legal Services in Bloomington and participates in the McLean County Bar Association's Lawyers in the Classroom and Law Day Committees.
