Mr. Terry W. Dodds

Terry W. Dodds, a native of Bloomington-Normal, Illinois, leads The Dodds Law Office, PC, where he represents clients in personal injury, workers' compensation, and auto accident cases. He also advises on criminal and family law issues. Terry's roots run deep in the Bloomington-Normal area, having attended local schools in the Unit 5 School District. His family, including his brother Geoff Dodds, who serves as the City Legal Counsel for the Village of Heyworth, IL, is well-integrated into the community.

Terry graduated from Clinton Community High School in 1992 and earned an Associate's Degree from Sauk Valley Community College on a basketball scholarship. He then received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Illinois State University and a Juris Doctor degree from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.

After completing his law degree, Terry began his legal career at the Missouri State Public Defender's Office in Buffalo, Missouri. During his two-year tenure, he defended clients in both misdemeanor and felony cases, gaining valuable trial experience. He later transitioned to private practice in Springfield, Missouri, where he worked with a civil litigation firm specializing in personal injury, workers' compensation, and medical negligence claims. There, he engaged in trial and appellate work, including arguing before the Southern District of the Missouri Court of Appeals.
