Daniel J. Kollias offers a distinctive mix of practical business acumen and legal expertise. Before returning to law, Dan successfully ran a restaurant and bar in Elmhurst, equipping him with insights into both entrepreneurship and advocacy. His legal career began in the Cook County State’s Lawyer’s Office, where he gained extensive courtroom experience prosecuting juvenile abuse and neglect cases, as well as handling appellate court matters.

Since 2003, Dan has been in private practice, focusing on family law, business planning, and estate planning. In family law, he has represented numerous clients in divorce, parental rights, relocation, support, maintenance, business valuation, and complex property division cases. He is adept at navigating unique issues involving military servicemembers and is certified as a guardian ad litem, often appointed to assess the best interests of children in contested cases.

In business planning, Dan advises on business structure, organization, succession planning, and transactions, including operating agreements and purchase and sale agreements.
