Melissa Fernandez (Marin)

Melissa Fernandez (Marin) is a committed family law attorney located in Downers Grove, Illinois. She completed her undergraduate studies at DePaul University in 2015, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Political Science. Her passion for family law was evident from a young age, influenced by her personal experiences as a child of divorced parents.

Melissa pursued her legal education at DePaul University College of Law, graduating in 2019 with a certificate in family law. She distinguished herself academically, graduating Cum Laude and consistently appearing on the Dean's List throughout her studies. Her dedication to family law was further recognized through her selection as a Family Law Fellow and recipient of the Schiller DuCanto & Fleck Family Law Center Scholarship.

During her time at DePaul, Melissa served as Vice President for the Child and Family Law Association. She earned two CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for her exceptional performance in Family Law Courtroom Drafting and Judicial Analysis Research and Communication courses. Melissa's commitment to effective advocacy led her to join DePaul's Appellate Moot Court team, where she honed her litigation and oral advocacy skills.
