Erin Webster O'Brien

Erin Webster O'Brien, a seasoned attorney in Joliet, Illinois, holds a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law, awarded in May 2004. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Criminal / Social Justice and American Studies from Lewis University in May 2000. Ms. O'Brien's legal career began with her admission to the Illinois Bar in November 2004 and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in January 2005.

Before attending law school, Ms. O'Brien worked as a human resources manager for Target Corporation in 2001, focusing on recruitment and store operations in Orland Park. During her time at law school, she contributed as a legal analyst at the National Anti-Vivisection Society, supporting AnimalLaw.com, and clerked at a Joliet law firm handling family, felony, and personal injury cases.

After her admittance to the bar, Ms. O'Brien practiced as an associate attorney concentrating on family law, with experience in criminal defense, personal injury, and administrative hearings. In November 2008, she established her own law practice, emphasizing family law. Her commitment to alternative dispute resolution is demonstrated by her Professional Certification in Divorce Mediation Skills Training from Northwestern University in March 2008 and her fellowship with Collaborative Divorce Illinois.

Ms. O'Brien is actively involved in the legal community, including the Will County Bar Association, where she served as President from 2019 to 2020, the Will County Women’s Bar Association, and the Illinois State Bar Association. She is also a member of the Rotary Club of Joliet.
