Nakeina Cane

Nakeina S. Cane is an accomplished attorney with a robust background in litigation. With over six years of service as a former Deputy Prosecuting Litigation Counsel, she has honed her skills in both court trials and jury trials. Her dedication to the legal field is evident through her diligent and professional approach.

Nakeina earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Louisville in 2006, where she was recognized as a Governor's Scholar, Woodford Porter Sr. Achiever Trustee Scholar, and a Kentucky Legal Education Opportunity (KLEO) Graduate. She then pursued her law degree at the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, graduating in 2010. She began her legal career in the private sector and was admitted to practice law in 2011.

In addition to her legal practice, Nakeina is an Adjunct Instructor at Indiana Wesleyan University, teaching Legal Studies and Criminal Justice. Her passion for youth advocacy is demonstrated through her previous service on the Board of Directors for Reach for Youth, Inc. and Lutherwood Child and Family Services.

Nakeina is actively involved in the local legal community as a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association, Indiana State Bar Association, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Her career is marked by a commitment to community service and effective problem-solving.
