Julie Ann O'Bryan

Julie Ann O'Bryan earned her J.D. from the University of Louisville in 1985. During her final semester, she interned at the Department of Corporations in San Francisco, leading to her admission to the California Bar Association in 1985 and the Kentucky Bar Association in 1987.

From 1987 to 1993, Julie served as Staff Law Counsel for the Honorable J. Wendell Roberts, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District of Kentucky. In 1994, she established OBryan Law Offices PSC, focusing on bankruptcy and family law. The firm, with a team of four associate attorneys, three paralegals, and six support staff, manages over 100 consumer bankruptcies monthly and addresses personal injury and uncontested divorce cases. They serve clients throughout the Kentuckiana area, including Southern Indiana, Frankfort, and nearby counties.

In 2003, Julie achieved certification as a Consumer Bankruptcy Attorney from the American Board of Certification. She maintains this credential through active participation in ongoing education and staying updated with developments in bankruptcy law since the enactment of BAPCA.

Julie is a frequent lecturer at bankruptcy seminars and actively volunteers with CARE, a national program educating young adults on financial literacy. She also completed Max Gardner's Bankruptcy Boot Camp in Shelby, North Carolina, enhancing her expertise in consumer legal rights, including automatic stay, discharge violations, FDCPA, and FCRA issues.
