Rahim A. Smith

Rahim A. Smith, originally from the San Francisco Bay area, attended Morehouse College where he earned a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in English. His career began in media, working for Turner Sports as an intern in 1996, eventually rising to the position of producer. During his tenure, he contributed to projects such as the Summer Goodwill Games in 1998 (New York City), the Winter Olympics 1998 (Nagano, Japan), and served as a 'tease' and 'feature' producer for Inside the NBA from 1998 to 2007. Rahim is a three-time Emmy award winner for his work as an Associate Producer on Inside the NBA playoffs coverage.

In addition to his media career, Rahim served as a music consultant to Shakir Stewart, the Executive Vice President at Def Jam Recordings. Transitioning to law, he became a certified and licensed Mediator with a focus on alternative dispute resolutions, personal injury, and sports and entertainment law. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in October 2010.

Rahim is actively involved in the legal community as a member of the Baton Rouge Bar Association, the Louis A. Martinet Society, and the American Bar Association.
