Laurel A. Salley

Laurel A. Salley, a native of the New Orleans area, has cultivated a robust legal career in Jefferson County, Louisiana. She received her education at St. Martin's Episcopal School, University of Miami, Louisiana State University, and Tulane Law School. During her time at St. Martin's, Laurel actively participated in the Key Club, a prominent community service organization for high school students. Her involvement in community service continued at LSU, where she joined the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and later became a member of the Lakeside Kiwanis Club, an organization she remains committed to today.

While pursuing her legal education at Tulane Law School, Laurel served as a research assistant for A.N. Yiannopoulos, the Eason-Weinmann Professor of Comparative Law and Editor of the Louisiana Civil Code. Her academic journey also included studying abroad, where she attended courses led by justices of the United States Supreme Court and judges from the Louisiana Supreme Court and Appellate Courts.

After earning her law degree, Laurel joined forces with her mother to establish Salley & Salley, LLC, focusing on family law. Five years into her practice, she achieved certification as a Family Law Specialist by the Louisiana Board of Law Specialization. Residing in Metairie with her husband, two children, and their dog Beauregard, Laurel remains an active community member.
