Mr. Irwin R. Kramer

Irwin R. Kramer has dedicated a significant portion of his legal career to defending attorneys facing professional malpractice and disciplinary issues. His work with professional liability insurance carriers has led him to develop a deep understanding of the ethical pressures faced by legal professionals. With considerable trial and appellate experience in both state and federal courts, Mr. Kramer is well-versed in the complexities of law practice.

His leadership skills are further enhanced by his experience in law firm management, providing him with a comprehensive perspective on the challenges attorneys encounter. Acknowledged for his contributions to the legal field, Mr. Kramer has been profiled in Who's Who in America and A.M. Best's Directory of Recommended Insurance Attorneys. As a former law professor, he has taught at some of the nation's top law schools and continues to share his expertise through publications and national lectures on trial advocacy and legal ethics.

Mr. Kramer founded The Legal Television Network to make legal information more accessible to the public, producing features to enhance public understanding. His achievements have been recognized by the Maryland State Bar Association with The David Hjortsberg Award for Professionalism & Civility, and by the Maryland Bar Foundation for Legal Excellence in Public Understanding of the Law. Additionally, he was named Innovator of the Year and recognized for his Leadership in Law by The Daily Record.

Beyond his professional practice, Mr. Kramer contributes to the legal community as a member of the Court of Appeals Standing Committee on Rules of Practice & Procedure, working with judges, legislators, and attorneys to review and revise court rules, including those governing the attorney grievance process.

Mr. Kramer graduated summa cum laude from Towson University and earned his Juris Doctor with high honors from the University of Maryland School of Law, where he was a moot court champion and inducted into the Order of the Coif. He also holds a Master of Laws degree from Columbia University School of Law.
