Cherie McKenna

Cherie L. McKenna, Esq. leads her own practice, the Law Office of Cherie L. McKenna, in Springfield, Massachusetts. With a focus on family law, she also provides mediation services throughout Hampden, Hampshire, Franklin, and Berkshire Counties. Over one-third of her practice is dedicated to mediation, reflecting her commitment to helping clients resolve disputes amicably.

With over 20 years of experience, Cherie has extensive expertise in divorce, family law, civil litigation, insurance defense, appellate litigation, and criminal defense. Her dedication to client advocacy ensures successful conflict resolutions. Cherie actively participates in the legal community as a member of the Hampden County Bar Association and the Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation. She also serves on the panel of attorneys for the Children's Law Project of Hampden County, representing children's interests in legal matters.

Cherie's community involvement includes serving on the Board of Directors for the Community Music School in Springfield, where she aids in fundraising and strategic planning. She is a volunteer mentor for West Springfield High School students. Academically, Cherie earned her Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School in 1998 and is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and the U.S. District Courts for both states. Her academic journey began with a B.A, summa cum laude, from the University of New Hampshire in 1995.

Beyond her legal career, Cherie is a passionate supporter of the arts. She regularly attends local theater, museum, and symphony events with her husband and participates in tap and jazz dance classes in Easthampton. Cherie delights in singing and dancing, especially with her daughter, and cherishes her role as a devoted mother and wife.
