Babak Akhlaghi

Babak Akhlaghi leads NovoTech Patent Firm in Washington, D.C., providing comprehensive patent services to clients worldwide. As a registered patent attorney, he co-authors the annually updated Patent Applications Handbook, published by West Publications, serving as a key resource for industry professionals. Additionally, Babak is an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland, focusing on the intersection of entrepreneurship and intellectual property.

His practice is dedicated to patent preparation and prosecution within the fields of electrical engineering and computer science. Babak's expertise encompasses technologies like AI, machine learning, medical devices, semiconductors, and mobile applications. Previously, Babak was a Partner at McDermott Will & Emery and an Associate at Fish & Richardson in Washington, D.C.
