Wilfried Hermann Florin

Wil H. Florin was born in Salzburg, Austria, and grew up in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He earned his B.A. from Ball State University before obtaining his Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law in 1980. Wil's commitment to his alma mater is evident through his recent appointment to a four-year term on the Stetson University Board of Trustees and his ongoing service in his second three-year term on the Stetson University College of Law Board of Overseers.

In 2018, Wil was honored as the 89th inductee into the Stetson University College of Law’s Hall of Fame. This prestigious recognition is awarded to alumni who have achieved and sustained excellence in their fields while significantly impacting the College of Law.

Wil's peers have consistently recognized him as one of the “Best Lawyers in America,” specifically as the only Pinellas/Pasco plaintiff’s medical malpractice attorney selected. He is also acknowledged in “Leading American Attorneys,” “Florida Super Lawyers,” and “America’s Leading Plaintiff’s Lawyers.” His ethical standards and legal acumen have earned him Martindale-Hubbell’s highest peer rating. Additionally, The National Trial Lawyers Association has named him one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers in Florida for the past eight years.

In 1985, Wil co-founded Florin|Roebig. At just thirty, he achieved what might be a record as the youngest lawyer in America to secure a multi-million dollar jury verdict of $2.3 million. His successful cases span numerous areas, including medical malpractice, automobile negligence, civil rights, and more, demonstrating his versatility and expertise across a broad spectrum of legal challenges.
