James J. Kuettner

James J. Kuettner, an attorney in Mankato, Minnesota, completed his legal education at William Mitchell College of Law (now Mitchell | Hamline) from August 2012 to January 2015. During his studies, he concentrated on practical legal skills, including trial skills, negotiation, and mediation. Notably, he participated in three mock jury trials, several mock bench trials, and a juvenile certification trial. In his first year, he was honored with the Kirwin Award for Legal Professionalism, a recognition given annually to a student who exemplifies the qualities of a professional attorney. Upon graduation, he received the Student of Merit award, a prestigious accolade awarded once per graduating class.

James actively participated in various boards and councils during his time in law school. He was involved with the Minnesota State Bar Association Alternative Dispute Resolution board, served as a co-chair for a Public Interest Law Fellowship, and contributed to the student chapter of the Minnesota Justice Foundation.

Before pursuing law, James worked as a wine buyer and restaurant manager, experiences that instilled in him a strong sense of justice and a passion for the legal field. In his free time, he enjoys indulging in good books, fine food and wine, and exploring the outdoors.
