Amanda Jane Proctor

Amanda Jane Proctor, a seasoned Family Law Attorney at Wright Gregg & Proctor, P.A., is dedicated to providing comprehensive legal support in Family Law. Her practice is characterized by a unique blend of advocacy, research, and empathy, enabling her to effectively meet the specific challenges her clients face.

Amanda graduated from the University of Mississippi with a B.A. and B.S. in 2006. She then earned her J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2009. During her time there, she was a member of the Mississippi Law Journal and graduated first in her class. Her academic journey was supported by several scholarships, including the Lamar Order Scholarship, the Mississippi Bar Family Law Section Scholarship, and the Martha Wilson Gerald MWLA Scholarship.

Amanda's scholarly contributions include publications in the Journal of Gender, Social Policy & the Law and the National Association of Women Lawyers’ Women Lawyers Journal. Her article, 'Break Up Domestic Violence: Fourth Amendment Analysis of ‘Disputed Permission’,' reflects her commitment to addressing critical issues in Family Law.

In recognition of her professional excellence, Amanda was named to the 2016 Class of Portico 10. She also received the Pro Bono Award from the Mississippi Volunteers Lawyers Project in 2018.

Raised on the Reservoir in Jackson's suburbs, Amanda is a proud mother and an active member of Broadmoor Baptist Church.
