Jay M. Kilpatrick

Jay M. Kilpatrick became a valuable member of Kilpatrick & Philley, Attorneys at Law in May 2016. Originally from Philadelphia, Mississippi, Jay has deep roots in the state. Prior to joining the firm, he spent 16 years at a larger firm in the Jackson area, where he was a shareholder.

Jay's expertise lies in personal injury and family law. He has developed a notable maritime practice, representing offshore workers and their families, including handling a Deepwater Horizon claim. His efforts led to a record settlement for an offshore death incident. Additionally, Jay has successfully orchestrated the recovery of over $35 million through verdicts and settlements across various cases.

In family law, Jay provides comprehensive representation in divorce and child custody matters. He approaches each case with empathy, understanding the significant impact on his clients' lives.

Jay has argued successfully before the Fifth Circuit on three occasions and was featured in the ABA Journal in July 2006.
