Stephen Burrow

Originally from New Orleans, Stephen Burrow has been a resident of Jackson County for most of his life. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service in 1988, graduating with a Certificate in German Public and International Affairs with Distinction. In 1993, he completed his Juris Doctor at Tulane University's School of Law, along with a Certificate in European Legal Practice. During his time at Tulane, Stephen served as the President of the Tulane Law School, worked as an extern clerk for U.S. District Judge Martin L. C. Feldman in the Eastern District of Louisiana, and contributed as a senior member of the Tulane Journal of International and Comparative Law and the Tulane Inns of Court.

Stephen is rated "AV" by Martindale-Hubbell and is admitted to practice law in both Mississippi and Alabama. His professional affiliations include the Mississippi Bar, where he has been a member of the Medical Liaison Committee (2007-2008) and the Technology Committee (2005-present), the Alabama State Bar, the Jackson County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association's Business Law Section. He is also a member of the American Inns of Court, Russell/Blass/Walker Chapter.

Since 2007, Stephen has served as a judge pro tem for the Pascagoula Municipal Court. His legal practice focuses on general law with a strong emphasis on Business Law, Business Development, Commercial Transactions, Business and Commercial Litigation, and Medical Malpractice Defense.

Stephen is an experienced lecturer, having delivered numerous continuing education classes for professionals. His topics include "Business Law for the Practicing Physician/Provider," "Practitioner Responsibilities under HIPAA," and "Privacy of Peer Review Records." He has also conducted seminars on the formation and operation of LLCs, as well as on Mississippi's 2010 Revised Limited Liability Company Act. Additionally, Stephen has taught on subjects such as "Walking the Ethical Line in Representing Business Organizations" and "2014 Legislative Update and Select Issues in Business Entity Operations."
