Barry R. Eichen

Barry R. Eichen, a prominent NJ medical malpractice attorney, hails from a middle-class neighborhood in South Edison. His father managed an auto parts store, while his mother balanced part-time work with raising five children. After graduating from Edison High School, Mr. Eichen worked nights to fund his college education. He established his own law practice in 1987 after completing law school.

Mr. Eichen is recognized as one of New Jersey's most seasoned and respected trial lawyers. In 2012-2013 alone, he successfully tried eight cases, securing verdicts that exceeded ten million dollars. Notably, in 2010, he represented the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, achieving a $51 million verdict against Johnson & Johnson for Medicaid overcharges, leading to a substantial recovery for the state.

In April 2007, Mr. Eichen secured a significant verdict against Ford Motor Company involving a defective throttle body that caused a brachial plexus injury. After a four-week trial, the jury awarded $10,626,479.89 to the plaintiff. Earlier, in August 2005, he obtained a $19.2 million verdict for a railroad worker suffering from pulmonary fibrosis due to inadequate respiratory protection, marking one of the largest FELA verdicts for such a condition in the country.
