Joseph Ginarte

Joseph A. Ginarte embarked on his legal journey in 1982, transforming his practice into a comprehensive trial law firm with a growing team of attorneys and support staff. Raised in Newark, Ginarte attributes his success to the values of hard work and commitment instilled by his factory-working parents. While attending Kean University, he worked as a full-time forklift operator, graduating summa cum laude. This background motivated him to earn a law degree from Rutgers School of Law to represent workers. "I grew up seeing workers getting hurt and not getting the benefits they deserved," he recalls, reflecting on his father's injuries and their impact on his family.

Workplace-injury cases, particularly construction accidents, have been central to Ginarte's practice. In 1995, he secured a $9.5 million settlement for a young worker who became quadriplegic after a construction site fall. The case involved allegations against the owner and general contractor for inadequate safety measures. The firm has consistently achieved significant outcomes in areas such as products liability, civil rights, and medical malpractice.

Ginarte emphasizes the firm's experience and client-focused approach. "What sets us apart is our years of experience and personal attention to clients," he states. Despite industry downsizing, his firm continues to expand, driven by a reputation for fiercely advocating for clients and investing in their cases.

A notable case involved the 2012 death of a young boy during a dental procedure in Irvington, drawing national attention. Ginarte funded the funeral and pursued a medical-malpractice investigation against the clinic.

Recognized for his dedication, Ginarte has served on the New Jersey Supreme Court’s Civil Practices Committee and as a past president of the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey. He is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, and Washington.
