Jennifer B. Cona

Jennifer B. Cona is the founder and managing partner of Cona Elder Law, a premier Elder Law and Estate Planning firm on Long Island. Renowned for her leadership in business and community service, Ms. Cona provides comprehensive representation and counsel to seniors and their families. Her practice areas include Medicaid planning, estate planning, wealth transfer strategies, estate administration, estate litigation, guardianships, and special needs planning.

Under Ms. Cona's guidance, the firm has expanded to include a department focused on health care reimbursement and recovery. Currently, Cona Elder Law represents over 175 nursing homes and health care facilities across Long Island and New York State, establishing the firm as a leader in this sector. The firm collaborates with families and health care providers to ensure quality long-term care for seniors by securing payment sources.

Ms. Cona holds several significant roles, including Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Long Island Alzheimer's and Dementia Center (LIAD). She serves as a court-appointed evaluator, guardian, Guardian ad Litem, and counsel for incapacitated individuals in both Supreme and Surrogate Courts. An advocate for improved legal access, she has lobbied on Capitol Hill for the NOW Legal Defense Fund. As a member of the Legal Advisory Board of LIAD, Ms. Cona offers legal guidance on issues affecting those with Alzheimer's disease.

Additionally, she founded and chairs the Advanced Elder Law Focus Group, an industry think-tank. Her firm is also a member of the Intercounty Health Facilities Association, further demonstrating her commitment to health care facility representation.
